Frontend Developer

Quickspin is a Playtech company, creating innovative and award-winning online video slots. Our video slots are enjoyed by millions of players in different markets around the world. We are now looking for a Frontend Developer to join us to join us in Kyiv. 

About the role

The Frontend Developer will join our Game Operations team, located in both Stockholm & Kyiv. Quickspin's games are going global and one of the tasks of the Game Ops team is to make our amazing games available in new regulated markets. The team works on creating solutions for custom integrations with our esteemed customers. The solutions can be within our games or outside our game packages that applies to our entire portfolio of games. Within your team you will take a E2E approach on any task, and solutions are followed from draft to post-production and maintenance. Challenges and solutions often vary and can require collaboration with both the Platform team & Game Studio. 

We strive for a high level of test automation, and you are expected to accompany code changes with unit testing (karma, mocha, chai). You will also be encouraged to utilize, and help develop, our internal dev tools as well as making use of various AWS services, all to get the job done in an efficient way. Our small but diverse team is located in both Stockholm (Sweden) and in Kyiv, where the cross-collaborations demands excellent communication and English skills.

Qualifications

• A degree in computer science, or similar
• +2 years of prior experience of software development as employee or contractor
• Experience with modern web technologies and techniques such as HTML5, CSS3 and JS (ES5/ES6).
• Experience with supersets and languages transpired to JavaScript, such as TypeScript, Babel etc. Experience with Node.js and the NPM package ecosystem
• Object Oriented programming (OOP) experience
• Software design pattern experience
• Experience with CSS3 and CSS-preprocessors such as SASS or Less
• Understanding of good practice version control, artefact versioning, branching model
• Understanding of build systems and development tools such as Maven, npm, gulp, Grunt etc.
• Excellent written & spoken English skills.

We also value

• Experience with AWS services
• Experience with any kind of programming or scripting language
• Experience with e2e testing tools such as Selenium, webdriver.io etc.
• Experience of Jenkins and/or other automation servers/services
• Experience in the Online Gambling Industry is meriting
