Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What You Will Work On:

• Develop the frontend for new tools to enhance user experience for Volvo Group engineers.
• Initiate, drive, and lead frontend initiatives with support from your team and Volvo UX and Frontend Architects.
• Collaborate with back-end developers, contributing to the overall solution design.
• Participate in the transformation journey towards a digital future, contributing to profitable, scalable, and differentiated digital offerings.
• Work in an agile team environment, adopting DevSecOps practices and methodologies like Lean UX and Design Thinking.
• Deliver smart assistants to simplify life for approximately 16,000 global users within the Volvo Group.
• Maintain a close-knit, open, and creative dialogue within the product team to continuously find better ways to solve user needs.

What You Bring:

• Technical Skills:
• Several years of experience in developing complex web applications using frontend technologies such as React, Angular, and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in automated workflows using Azure and GitHub Actions.
• Strong knowledge in designing web applications with a security focus from the start.
• Expertise in optimizing page loading times and creating responsive UIs.
• Experience with web components, Bootstrap, CSS-in-JS, Styled Components, and Tailwind is a plus.
• Familiarity with UX design best practices, such as Lean UX and Design Thinking.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming, microservice architecture, cloud services, and test automation frameworks.
• Experience in backend development, particularly Java, and designing REST APIs.
• Familiarity with the Spring framework is advantageous.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication skills in English (both speaking and writing), with Swedish proficiency being a plus.
