Thermal Management is a department within Vehicle Technology responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining an optimized complete thermal management system. This includes cab climate and vehicle cooling & heating systems for ICE, BEV, and Fuel cell vehicles within the Volvo Group. We are responsible for the thermal management platform from cradle to grave, both Hardware and Software. The teams within thermal management are located in Gothenburg and Bangalore and have close cooperation with the sites Greensboro and Lyon. To succeed we need to understand the final customer needs and apply our knowledge to develop technical concepts and solutions that satisfy customer and business needs.

We are now looking for an Agile Product Owner for one of the Cab Climate Software teams in Gothenburg.

You have an open mindset to learn, grow and share your knowledge with others and you have good networking skills on a local and global basis which helps you to understand and accept cultural differences. Your communication skills are good both in text and verbally (English) 
To be successful in this role, we believe that you have the following experience and qualifications :-
* Bachelors / Masters of Science degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems or equivalent
* Deep understanding (minimum 7-10 years) of embedded SW development, verification and validation
* Experience as product owner or other leading role in SW development 
* Understanding of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery, configuration management and SW release processes
* Experience in Functional Development and Control Strategy
* Experience in Matlab, Simulink, C, C++, Python
* Automotive experience and knowledge of Cab Climate system is considered as a strong merit

What’s in it for you?

As an agile product owner, you will plan, lead, prioritize and coordinate the Cab Climate software roadmap and product backlog for your agile team, including Advanced Engineering. You will communicate with internal and external stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk and drive improvement within your area.
The target is to build a strong platform within the cab climate product that is flexible and adaptable to all the different variants we are working towards.
