SW Developers - Emerging Technologies, Product Stream Autonomous Drive

The department Active Safety & Autonomous Drive consists of over 400 ambitious and skilled engineers and is responsible for all the way from research and advanced engineering to industrialization of current and future customer offers.

We are now establishing an Emerging Tech team that continuously seeks opportunities to accelerate and innovate the development of Autonomous Drive. The team mainly consists of technical experts with various focus areas and now we are expanding with a number of Software Developers.

What will you do?
As a software developer in the Emerging Tech team, you will be engaged in the department’s tech scouting efforts and bring its findings on disruptive technologies and high potential partners to life/action. This involves the development and realization of demonstrators, PoC’s and MVP’s in the area of Autonomous Drive, together with identified internal and external partners. You will work together with the best subject matter experts in the industry, practicing innovation from beginning to the end, i.e. from exploration/ideation towards concrete implementation in our future products by persistent work together with the development teams.

What do you need to have?
To be successful in this job, we see that you have an entrepreneurial approach and that you thrive by “thinking out of the box”. We are looking for curious individuals that are continuously searching for new knowledge. We like a hands-on approach to problems – learning by doing.

You should have a strong background in software engineering with very strong programming skills, e.g. fluency in Python and/or C/C++. We also believe that you have a M.Sc. within software engineering, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, electrical engineering or similar. Fluent English skills (both written and verbal) is essential in a international environment.

As a person, we believe that you have an interest and good understanding of existing and emerging automotive, cloud computing, consumer electronics, digital, entertainment and mobile trends. Experience with emerging technologies, preferably in a “start up” context, will be an advantage. We also believe that you have a strong desire in developing solutions from concept to a complete product offer. You enjoy being fast-paced and agile! Having worked in an agile team and being skilled in agile and scrum working methods, will be a plus.
