Application Administrator - G Suite and Lumapps

Schibsted Enterprise Technology (ETech) is the IT division within Schibsted with offices in multiple cities around the world, including in London, Stockholm, Barcelona, and Oslo. In the Collaboration team we create and maintain systems that enable the entire organization to collaborate. We provide tools, training, and support to ensure that everyone can share and communicate with colleagues in different locations. Schibsted’s presence expands across 30+ countries and different continents, making collaboration crucial for the company’s future success. Our Infrastructure runs on top of the tools a specialized team is building, such as Spinnaker, Travis or Artifactory. We run our services in AWS and we apply CI/CD mechanisms.

We strongly believe in continuous improvement of always-on systems so we relentlessly work to achieve near complete resiliency of everything we do. This means no actual user downtime, seamless infrastructure and service upgrades as well as being proactive to issues.

As Application Administrator - G Suite and Lumapps we believe that the ideal candidate is someone that lives their life on principles such as openness, participation, team playing, etc. Responsibilities include:

- Advise on which technology stacks/cloud/big data solutions should be used
- Automate the operation and production of distributed systems so that, eventually, no manual intervention is needed
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions that enable the production systems to be monitored 24/7
- Educate Schibsted employees on the usage of our tools
- Be connected with the roadmaps for the tools we choose and constantly challenge yourself in what we can do to improve our colleagues daily work

- A BSc degree in computer science or equivalent
- Strong analytical / problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge in the G Suite stack
- HTML/CSS knowledge

Desirable:

- The ability to write scripts for automation (Perl, Python or similar)
- Proven ability and experience developing applications (Golang, Java, Python, Ruby or similar)
- Google Analytics and Tag Manager
- Knowledge of LumApps
