As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be working at their office in Gothenburg but will be a part of a team that works primarily with customers in the Europe, Middle East and Africa. Your main task is to provide technical support on local and cloud-based software and hardware products to customers and/or field technicians via telephone, e-mail, live chat and other telecommunications assets by troubleshooting, researching, recommending corrective actions, test/replicates customer issues, document defect and enhancement request. Examples of daily work tasks are:

• Provide troubleshooting and technical support to company field engineers, technicians and external customers
• Perform a variety of semi-routine support activities in the support function mainly for software issues
• Assess and respond to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or repairing the problem software or equipment
• Resolve non-standard problems
• Drive support call to find root cause, correct and improve
• Document and maintain customer issues in a support case tracking system
• Communicate problems and engage engineering for resolution
• Evaluate engineering support requirement
• Participate in triage and cross-functional meeting with engineering and other teams

About you
We are looking for a person with earlier experience from the Technical Support field. You have the ability to operate personal computers, peripherals, mobile/handheld devices, backup devices, digital recorders and cameras and computerized test equipment. Furthermore, you are efficient in the use of computer programs such as operating systems (Windows Client and Server OS, iOS, Android etc.) and has knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, LAN/WAN/Wireless network architecture, MS Office Suites and has an understanding of simpler electronic and electric schematics.

As a person, you are courteous, proactive, positive and develops a good rapport with co-workers/customers. You also have the ability to be persuasive when instructing co-workers and customers. Furthermore, you are patient while explaining and/or listening to complex concepts and/or during stressful situations and are a team-player who performs well in a team environment,
