As part of the Google Hangouts Meet team, you will work with exciting technology, solve complex infrastructure and testing problems across multiple browsers, mobile devices, hardware and other platforms. You will lead the design and development of tools, frameworks and infrastructure to push the boundaries of quality for the portfolio of features in Google Hangouts Meet. You will have the opportunity to build solutions that will scale across web, iOS, Android and meeting-room hardware in a seamless manner.

You will also work on green-field problems related to media quality, devising solutions and systems from the ground-up. You will work closely with other engineers on the team to define best practices in code health, testing and maintainability and drive adoption across the entire organization. You are a thought leader and can influence the direction of the team through insightful technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to engineering efforts from planning and organization to execution and delivery to solve complex engineering problems in tools and testing.
• Analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with and influence others to improve the overall design.
• Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing and maintainability.
• Design and build advanced automated testing frameworks and infrastructure to help Engineering teams measure and increase their velocity.
