Data Analytics Platform Senior Engineer

GTT Process and IT provides processes, methods and IT-solutions for GTT.
We are also responsible for managing IT-solutions that are supporting the DVP process in other truck divisions and business areas. .

GTT P&IT Support Products & Projects function organizes and manages Regional Centre’s and Sites for Local Process Management, Implementation and Change within DVP, including Site Coordination and Test, Lab and RnD support

Job Description
To meet the objectives and in order to drive changes and improvements in a consistent way we are looking for a Data Analytics Platform Senior Engineer to join our team on this exciting journey.

You will play an important part in enabling our R&D organization to evolve in the ways of working with analytics. Your main focus will be securing operations and easy access to the analytics platform with hardware, infrastructure and analytics frameworks in order to enable “data-driven” product development.
In order to be successful in this position you need to have experience from IT-infrastructure setup such as databases, storage, high-performance computing clusters, Big Data platforms, and various interfaces for analytics tools and applications.

You are driven to deliver according to set targets and agreed timeframes and have good ability to work both in project teams as well as individually.

Main Responsibilities
• Design, development, continuously refine and improve of Data Analytics platforms and systems
• Provide an accessible interface for analytics purposes.
• Be a trusted advisor in discussions with GTT internal stakeholders, Group IT and other suppliers of Data Analytic platforms and tools

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
• This role requires a Master or Bachelor’s University degree in computer science or related area
• Strong understanding Data Analytics approaches, industry standards and industry best practices for Data Warehouse, Data Management and Data Integration space
• Experience with data modeling, complex data structures, data processing, data quality and data lifecycle,
• Experience with design and development of Data Analytics and Data Lake solutions and components like Hadoop, Cloudera, Horton Works, IBM Big Insights, Netezza and similar tools
• Experience with visualization and writing complex SQL queries
• Good knowledge in Excel, Python, Cloudera, Horton Works, IBM Insights, MongoDB, Spark, Storm, HDFS, HBase, HIVE, PIG, Java/C++, SQL, Linux, Cassandra. Kafka and equivalents.
• Fluent in English, verbally and in writing

Beneficial but not necessary
• Experience from the automotive R&D.
