About us
The Global Platforms team at HMS Industrial Networks develop HW and SW platforms used globally within HMS. We are in a startup phase providing all HMS Business Units (BU) in the company with platforms used for product development within the IIoT area. We now need to strengthen our team with an embedded Linux developer.
About the employment
We are looking for a Linux developer that will work with developing our Platform middleware. You will contribute to several layers in the platform such as:
• BSP/Bootloader
• Linux
• Services/Framework
• API
Your daily work consists of maintaining our OpenEmbedded distribution as well as adding new functionality and new services in our middleware developing in C and C++. You will take part in the whole chain from design, implementation to test and distribution.
Our team is global with developers in Germany and Sweden and our internal customers are spread in 4 countries across Europe. You will be part of a development team of 5-10 colleagues and you will be stationed in in Halmstad.
We have a focus on building a strong, efficient and independent team with big ears. In our team you will find an innovative job, working with new solutions with focus to bring HMS into the future.
About you
You have an engineering background within computer science or similar. You have experience working with Linux embedded development as well as C and C++ programming. If you also have experience in any of the areas below, this is an advantage:
• Scripting language e.g. Bash, Python
• Security embedded solutions
• Agile development processes e.g. Scrum
• Peripheral driver integration (e.g Cellular, Wifi, Bluetooth)
• Kernel Space development
