Job description

We are now looking for a Software Engineer to be part of a new team within AML Analytics. Within this prioritized area we benefit from the advantages that come with use of the latest technology such as data lakes, machine learning and robotics.

About the job

As a Software engineer you will play a key role in reaching our vision of ensuring that Swedbank has an updated and functioning AML monitoring solution that meets regulatory requirements and support Group Security Investigation to be efficient in their work to detect suspicious money-laundering and terrorist financing cases.

As a Software engineer you will contribute in all areas: analyze, design, develop, test and maintain services delivered by the AML Analytics team and support in finding a good balance between life cycle management, maintenance, regulatory compliance as well as development of new functionality. You strive for a high level of automation of the tasks that are repeatable for the whole continuous delivery pipeline. We work according to Swedbank Agile Process and frequently deliver potentially shippable products iteratively and incrementally, maximizing opportunities for feedback.

As a Software engineer you will be part of a new cross functional team that will consist of Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Risk translators, Architect and a Team Manager. We work with the Swedbank common Data Lake, Data Discovery Platform and tools for modelling and machine learning. We also use an 3rd party AML solution for which we are responsible for development and optimization of AML monitoring scenarios. Good knowledge in SQL is needed and it is beneficial to have experience in ETL-development and other database technologies such as NoSQL structures.

You are a highly motivated developer with an interest in keeping yourself updated with the latest technology and trends within the area of development and programming. You are used to work with a customer-centric mind-set and do it structured, systematic and with an interest in details. You are a strong team-player.

The following skills will be beneficial:

  • Proven knowledge of one or many programming language(s)
  • Good knowledge in SQL
  • Data warehouse and ETL
  • Experience in UNIX and Oracle is an advantage
  • NoSQL structures is an advantage
  • Data lakes and related technologies (Hadoop, Spark etc.) is an advantage
  • Machine learning and related tools is an advantage
