Junior System Engineer to Vizrt:s MAM-team

Vizrt is one of the leading companies within MAM, Media Asses Management, systems. They are creating and distributing techniques within broadcasting, sports, eSports such as 3D maps, graphics, video editing, publishing tools, video workflow tools, and more. They are now looking for a person to join their MAM team as a Junior System Engineer.

OM TJÄNSTEN
Vizrt is building next generation products that help broadcasters, media companies and organizations working with Media to have effective workflows around Media. Academic Work is helping Vizrt to recruit a system engineer to their MAM team. They are more than 40 colleagues within the MAM area and because of a company growth they need to recruit a system engineer to the Stockholm Office.

Academic Work is responsible for the recruitment process but the candidate that proceed will be employed directly by Vizrt.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
MAM is a system to archive and manage time-based media and workflows in a distributed and collaborative environment. Since Vizrts’ clients are big broadcast or media companies, The MAM systems are usually critical to their customer’s business. This means they need to be running 24/7, with high bandwidth and storage requirements.
As a junior System Engineer you work with the systems Vizrt provides to their customers. The team is working similar to DevOps and meeting the same challenges, but whereas DevOps is typically pointed to cloud, most of the MAM systems are largely built on-prem.
The role is broad with several different responsibilities such as:

* development/coding
* troubleshooting
* bugfixes, updates and patching
* contact with clients

The position suits you who love problem-solving and wants to start your career in a broad role where you can learn loads of new techniques. You have an understanding of how systems can operate at scale, you like development and love new techniques. As a Junior System Engineer you will be onboarded in an introduction program and advance along the development curve. Since Vizrt is a global organization the role will include some trips outside Sweden.

VI SÖKER DIG SOM
* Have at least a bachelor’s degree within IT

* Have an excellent understanding of the English language in both writing and speech
* Have experience of and feel comfortable in programming in Python and/or Java and SQL from either an education, work life or a lot of spare time
* Have experience of and feel comfortable in using Linux OS, for example Red hat or CentOS, from either an education, work life or own spare time

We are searching for you who love to solve problems. You have a great understanding of how to break down a problem and find out the best long-term solution. You are thorough in your work in both focusing on the details, but also in follow ups to make sure it went well. You have cooperative skills and can adapt to people both within and outside of your team, organization, and country you are in for the moment.
