THE POSITION
We are currently seeking a Solution Architect who will be part of our virtual teams. You should have broad general knowledge within IT development, good technical skills and a proven background in your areas of knowledge. In order to succeed in this role you must have a genuine interest in leadership and possess coaching capabilities. The role will primarily be to ensure that our products and services are developed according to our target architecture.

The Roxtec IT department covers operation, development and support for all the 27 companies in the group, worldwide. The IT department is based at the Roxtec headquarters in Karlskrona, Sweden, where all systems, from ERP through to other special applications, are maintained and developed.

Areas of responsibility:

• Secure updated target architecture, set principles and make sure they are adhered to
• Innovation and exploration of new technologies
• Track and report progress in deliveries regarding fulfillment of target software architecture
• Architectural reviewer of software deliveries
• Secure development is done in accordance with general security standards
• System integration, building and maintaining

You will also:

• Help the team deliver any tasks needed
• Help creating and evaluating requirements, mostly towards external partners
• Ensure continuous improvements within the area
• Be the primary contact for software vendors in the area of expertise
• Make sure we follow standard ITIL processes for the services you provide

BACKGROUND

• A university degree in engineering or computer science or similar
• Experience as solution/software architect
• Experience from software engineering and agile development (TDD, CI/CD)
• Experience in JAVA/.NET
• Experience from service operation and support
• Fluent in English – both written and spoken
• It will also be a merit if you have worked in a manufacturing environment and have experience of SCRUM, ITIL, Databases, Business Intelligence, IT security in general, Cloud solutions and integrations.
