One of the doers we are looking for is a 3D Engineer. Together with a dynamic team, you create solutions tailored to meet the needs of small and medium-sized industrial companies. In this position, you are based in our brand-new office at Regeringsgatan, in the heart of Stockholm, and global travel is a natural part of the job.

Job Summary
In this role, you play a vital part in developing our tech stack by combining your interest for new technology with a passion for solving hard manufacturing problems. You work at the intersection of CAD and CAM to help design tools for streamlining the process of determining the manufacturability of products for subtractive and additive manufacturing.

Your responsibilities
• Develop, implement and document computational geometry algorithms
• Combine geometric reasoning with state-of-the-art machine learning in collaboration with our Data Science organization
• Mentor and support junior engineers

Your skills and qualifications
You have a BSc or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience gained from a working career. As our team at Sandvik CODE is truly international, you have great communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing. Other required skills and experiences are:

• 2D and 3D vector algebra
• Point cloud processing (texturing, mesh creation, etc)
• NL, GLPK, IPOPT or equivalent algorithms and related development kits
• CGAL, OpenMesh, libigl or equivalent
• OpenGL, WebGL
• CPU and GPU optimization

Bonus skills
• Develop shaders and rendering applications
• OpenCL and CUDA
• Vulkan
• C++, C#, Java or equivalent complied programming language
• Python or equivalent scripting language
