Sigma Connectivity is flourishing right now, new technology is always around the corner and the projects they are working on are so innovative that they can't even be mentioned in this advert as they are top secret. What we can tell you however is that in their business unit, Consumer Products, is growing. Consumer Products develop solutions for leading global brands as well as tomorrows technological leaders, i.e. today’s start-ups. Clients with ideas only scribbled on a post-it - Sigma Connectivity designs, develops, implements and realize.

Since the projects are secret, we can only unveil a slight bit of insight into the reality of what kind of products that could include, such as smart glasses, unique headsets and complex Bluetooth solutions.

The position is a direct recruitment which means that the recruitment process takes place through Academic Work, but you will be employed directly by Sigma Connectivity.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
Since every day and every project is different, it's hard to give a fair description of your job duties - but in general you will design a system from scratch using your creativity. Usually, you do this in C or C++, but Java does also occur. You will be involved in the full process of creating something entirely new - design, develop, implement, fix bugs and in the end.. deliver the groundbreaking product! Usually, maintenance is the one thing you don’t do when the product is delivered. Approximately half of the projects are based on an Android platform and the other half on other operative systems.

Most of the projects run in-house with access to cutting edge technology and the equipment to build and test complete products in-house. Your colleagues in the team consist of highly motivated and skilled developers and testers. The team spirit is clear - you never work alone.

Since you will be working with clients all around the world there will be some traveling included, approximately a few trips per year.

VI SÖKER DIG SOM
* At least six years experience of embedded development in C/C++
* An engineering degree within computer science
* Good knowledge in Linux
* Good knowledge in the Android Framework
* Fluent in English, both in speech and in writing
* Experience in at least some of the meritorious technologies mentioned below

You have besides developing software acquired a deeper knowledge in one or several of areas like BLE, Power management, Audio, Cameras and Displays, AI, Security. You know state of the art solutions in your area and keep yourself at the constant moving technology frontier. It is meritorious if you have an engineering master’s degree in physics or computer science and knowledge in Java as well.

As a person you are a true team player with an open attitude, a positive mindset and a high level of personal responsibility. You have a strong interest in technology and innovation and you strive to deliver with the highest quality and can easily adjust to whatever new tasks that come your way. To be successful in the role you can identify activities, tasks or solutions that need to be implemented before others request it and have a creative and problem-solving mindset.
