Axis is looking for an experienced edge computing person to join our Ecosystem team.

You don’t have to be an accomplished expert, but it helps if you want to become one. Familiarity with several programming languages, ideally including (but not limited to) C/C++, Go, JavaScript and Python is expected, and you will likely have to pick up more along the way.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As an Edge Computing Engineer, you will be part of building our next generation application developer platform within our Ecosystem team. We are exploring new ways of offering a world class developer experience for edge computing. This includes ensuring a comprehensive and easy to use toolchain where our developers should be able to use standard and modern tools to get their job done. We want to offer partners as well as our own developers a best in class environment for building new solutions grounded in our product portfolio.

Your main focus will involve exploring and understanding developer needs for edge computing. Support our development team in developing our system wide solution platform, reaching from embedded computing to cloud native environments. Researching and applying the state of the art when it comes to edge computing, distributed systems and deep learning at the edge.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a candidate with the right combination of technical skills and personal characteristics. We expect you to be a skilled and driven hands-on software developer that is able to work with diverse types of software platforms as well as dedicated hardware acceleration for analytics. You probably have an Engineering/Technical Masters degree or equivalent, with a some years of relevant work experience. We want you to be interested in sharing your work with others and work in a team oriented environment. As a person you are open minded and have an innovative mindset. Your skills in English written & oral communication are excellent, ideally also in Swedish.
