Job Description
Sprinkle is a platform for recommendations and syndication of article and video content for digital publishers. Based on context, social sharing and user behavior, we ensure that the recommendations are as relevant as possible for each user.
We work in a clustered platform where each part is integrated as a microservice. This technology agnostic and modular approach allows us to rapidly grow and expand our platform as needed.
How you'll spend your days at Sprinkle
Our cluster will take care of most of the proxying and load balancing and things like that so you can focus on what you do best: coding! But, we would love it if you have a "full stack" mind that helps you understand how these things to work together.
Most of the time (when not playing ping-pong) you'll:
- Develop and maintain microservices according to specifications.
- You'll be in charge of the complete chain for your microservices - from your development environment and monitoring it in production.
- Present specifications from a technical and architectual point of view - what technologies will you use to best solve the functions of your microservices.
- Participate in sprint meetings and report develoment status.
For starters you'll begin working with our Recommendation engine and Ad server microservices. These are the core of our content recommendation platform.
We love the technology agnostic approach of microservices and letting individuals build code with what they feel most comfortable with. However you choose to code, we would prefer you have experience with some or all of the technologies below:
- NodeJS / JavaScript / PHP / Python
- Elasticsearch / Crate / MySQL / Redis
- Git / Docker
