IT Administrator

We are looking for a skilled full time IT Administrator to join the Hazelight team.

Hazelight is an independently owned game development studio, in March 2018 we released our first title A Way Out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. We have now embarked on our next creative adventure. Hazelight is led by Josef Fares, writer and director of A Way Out and Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons.

As our new IT Administrator you will work on-site together with Hazelight’s great development team in our offices in Stockholm, Sweden. Earlier this year we moved into our own corner of the magnificent Münchenbryggeriet by the waterfront in Södermalm, Stockholm

Responsibilities

As our new IT administrator you will be responsible for all our IT infrastructure and keeping studio operations running smoothly. You will work closely with the development team to ensure that every member has the best IT environment possible to make an awesome game. Being part of a comparably small and tight-knit team, your workday could vary quite a lot depending on what you and/or the team considers to be the most important tasks. Your days include everything from overarching IT strategy to application deployment, network configuration or hardware support. It gives you great freedom and opportunity to grow and explore new solutions. It is important that you thrive in a team setting since we are working in an open office environment. Your most important tasks will always be to support both the development team members and make sure the production as a whole is resting on a safe and secure IT platform.

Qualifications

You must have documented work experience within security and networking
Have worked as a hands-on Sys Admin in an organization
Experience with Virtualization and storage
Experience in setting up support systems for both network and hardware
Be able to function as a technical support role for all studio employees
Experience with server management in Windows and Linux
Experience working with Windows and Mac clients
Have some experience in purchasing hardware and software
Manage the studios licenses and hardware inventory
Oversee and manage our office security systems
Documented independent problem-solving skills
Experience documenting IT solutions and policies on an organizational level

Meritorious

Fluent in english, both speech and text
A passionate gamer, understanding what we make here and why
As the sole IT staff currently, being able to self-motivate and be passionate about IT
Knowledge of databases in general
Experience managing version control software (Perforce, Git)
Scripting experience (Python, Powershell, Bash)
