We are looking for a System Architect with focus on the OPC UA communication protocol at Atlas Copco Industrial Technique.My name is Göran Lantz and I am leading the System Architecture Team at the System Solution Department, R&D. The team consists of about 7 senior developers setting the structure and roadmap for our technical platforms for many different products. What makes our team great and me proud is the broad competence within the team and willingness to help each other in order to create the best system architectures. Together we participate in developing high quality products used by customers world-wide. The R&D department consist of about 400 people, and offers great possibilities to grow in different directions within the business area. It is important for me as a manager to offer you stimulating and challenging tasks as well as to support you in your personal as well as your professional development. About the jobYour main responsibility will be to govern and drive the OPC UA part of our strategy to standardize communication protocols.This includes tasks like:Implementing OPC UA protocol adapters in our products.Handling Joint Working Group/Groups in the OPC Foundation that is part of our standardization strategy.Be a part of the standardization work around our Common Data Model.The above tasks involve handling of complicated technical issues as well as creating in depth technical analyses. To master this role you need to be able to drive change in the organization by supporting people and projects with expert advice, setting up workshops and doing presentations. Naturally, you will take part in project meetings and become an important member of the System Architecture team and work strategically towards future proof solutions. What you need to succeed5+ years of experience of OPC UAExpertise in C, C++, C#.NET in cross platform development on Windows and Linux environments.Expertise over the Object-Oriented Methodology and extensive experience over Object Oriented Analysis.Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required.EducationYou need at least a Master of Science in Engineering, preferably with specialization in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Company presentationGreat ideas accelerate innovation.
