We are now looking for a Camera lab responsible with embedded skills to join our Tools team within the Firmware Platform department.
THE TOOLS TEAM
We enable developers to be as productive as possible.
Tools team continuously develops new tools and methods to secure speed and quality of development within Axis, the primary stakeholders are the R&D departments.
We have a close relationship with stakeholders to provide the best possible solutions.
Being part of the tools team, you soon learn to live and breathe the Axis culture and values.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Our tools team now needs further strengthening from a tools developer with embedded skills.
You will primarily perform development and maintenance of our camera lab and secure that we evolve towards and automated environment.
In detail you will:
* Install and maintain the cameras used by the function teams
* Develop systems supporting remote debugging, power cycling, simulation and so forth
* Provide an infrastructure for highly available, automated lab infrastructure
* Perform trouble shooting and customer support
* Drive continuous improvement of the lab
You will also….
* Be a part of teams developing new camera capabilities in firmware
* Develop camera functionality in firmware
* Bridge the gap between tools and development
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently and in a timely fashion.
Together with the team you make the necessary changes whilst listening to organizational needs and sharing your thoughts and ideas in a productive and efficient way.
Qualifications and experience:
* A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or similar)
* English
* Knowledge in how to set-up complex lab environments
* Quality and customer focused
* Scripting (e.g. shell, Python, Perl)
* Hardware interest
* Embedded software programming (primarily C)
Bonus´, but not a requirement, if you have extra skills like:
* Contribution to open source projects
* Mastering Python
* IT infrastructure (network, storage, configuration, deployment, virtualization)
* Embedded development in Linux
* Large scale software integration
* Linux distribution maintainer or similar
* Common tools for building open source software
