If you want to grow together with talented people who are creating a new automotive future, we have a job for you.

What do we offer?

Do you like to be involved all the way from development of new concepts to the start of production? In the agile diagnostic teams in the ART Uptime by Diagnostics, the challenge is to develop solutions, which both meet legal requirements and have maximum robustness not causing customer disturbances.

We are responsible for development of system solutions, functional design and verification in full-scale test cars. We realise our ideas through the development of software in a number of embedded control systems. We are now developing a new diagnostic system for the next generation Volvo vehicles and the most significant component in that system is the central fault manager.

We are looking to strengthen our team Diagnostic Core and DCL Components in the field SW component development with an additional SW developer; do you have a passion for complex SW development and want to develop yourself further in the area. Then this role is the place for you to prosper! You will work in an agile team with very competent colleagues developing the fault manager from concept to industrialisation.

What you’ll do

Your main task is to develop SW components from concepts described by python, requirements, models or use cases together with a cross functional team. You will also be part of the concept work for the new fault manager and find solutions for the implementation.

Do you fit the profile?

We see that you have Master of Science or equivalent. You have good experience in software coding in C/C++ and have good skills in Python. UNIX (Linux / QNX) knowledge and experience in the fields of mathematics and statistics like machine learning, big data or data mining is meritorious.

If you have previous experience within the automotive industry as well as of embedded/engine control systems it is beneficial, further skills in designing software algorithms is an asset. You hold a Driver’s License B and are fluent in English.

As a person, you always keep a positive attitude and are self-managed, in order to fully succeed you need to be well organised and proactive in your work. You enjoy being a part of an efficient engineering team; you are an open-minded and reliable team player.
