Our software platform supports online interactive game play and enables the deployment of software applications for casino, lottery, bingo, poker, mini-games, and social games over web-based, tablet/mobile and social media applications.Job DescriptionThe DevOps Engineer will be critical to ensuring that the solutions developed / implemented can be embedded and utilised across the SDLC for multiple products.The DevOps Engineer will be expected to actively contribute to the technical strategies and solutions for products and will act as a champion / trainer / liaison with the other teams. As such, you will be working alongside all teams involved in the software development lifecycle in order to implement and promote the technology / processes that will drive forward this strategic initiative.This is a highly varied role where the person will be involved with divisional, company wide, and client-facing projects. This will be comprised of research, analysis, development, administration, consultancy, collaboration, training, and support. The DevOps Engineer is expected to have significant experience in either software engineering or systems administration.Key responsibilities:Development / Implementation of automation solutions across entire SDLC pipeline utilising open source solutions that will promote optimal results with delivery, quality, stability, performance, scalability, deployment, security, and documentationSupport and enable stable systems for both internal and collaborative partner project development and testingEnsure consistent application of operational excellence methodologiesResearch tools and techniques related to continuous integration, continuous delivery / deployment and agile methodologiesCollaborate with internal and external teams to advise on delivery / deployment tools and techniquesCreating, updating, and maintaining accurate documentation for multiple actorsActively participate in new products and features planning with a DevOps focusWhat we are looking for Knowledge - RequiredDemonstrable talent in administering Windows-based servers (this team is heavily developing in a Windows environment)Demonstrable talent in administering Linux based servers with open source middlewareDemonstrable talent coding in Java, Python, PHP, or C++Utilization of source code management systems (e.g. Git, Subversion)Traditional RDBMS utilization and management (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL / Maria / Percona)Exposure to continuous integration / delivery related systems and techniques (e.g. Jenkins, Travis CI, Codeship)Exposure to configuration management solutions and techniques (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet)Basic IaaS knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web ServicesKnowledge - PreferredDemonstrable experience with agile methodologies and tools for development and operationsNoSQL database utilization and management (e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis)Demonstrable experience with AWSExposure to containerization and container related solutions (e.g. Docker, Flocker, Kubernetes)What you can expectA performance focused culture throughout the whole business.
