If you are a SW designer with great interest in test or a tester with great interest in SW Design this is a job for you.You will work in a cross-functional, agile team in close collaboration with the rest of the R&D organization. The team takes full responsibility that a new feature is delivered on time with the right quality. Our work includes everything from product concept to finished product - a process that spans over the entire development chain.As a QA engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Infinera's products before the new features and additions are released to end users. This mean that you will work with most of the company's portfolio which leads to a quick and good overall system understanding.As a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at Infinera you will (but not be limited to):• Perform tests on system level including network management systems• Define test cases • Write scripts for automated testing (e.g. in TCL, Python)• Further develop our automated test environment• Debug along with hardware and software engineers• Review requirements, industry standards and manuals• Verify compliance to telecom standards (ITU, MEF, IETF, IEEE, TNF)• Verify the graphical user interface• Work with protocols such as Ethernet, OTN• Contribute to Test strategies• Based on background, interest and needs other work tasks can come into consideration as develop new softwareEducation & Experience Necessary for Success:• Master’s degree or equivalent education• Experience (5-10 years) within testing and/or SW Design• Experience in automated testing• Experience in working according to Agile Principles• Experience of networking protocols preferably L0/L1 and/or L2 protocols, and networking knowledge in general• Experience from working with network operations and/or installation is an advantage• Good knowledge in English, written and spoken• Interest in test methods and tool trends in the marketPersonal Characteristics• Innovative• Highly motivated team player• Structured and thorough• Driven and willing to take own initiatives• FlexibleWe offer:• Tight cooperation with other disciplines and an agile organization• Short product development cycles, you will see how your work affects our products and sales• International possibilities of development and internal advancement• Social and wellness activities and clubs• A friendly and helpful atmosphere• Highly competent and motivated colleagues• A workplace in beautiful Marievik by the water in Årstaviken with a great supply of lunch restaurants and good communications
