Senior Frontend Node.js Developer for Viasport

Viasport is MTG's highly popular sports site where we show highlights and clips from popular events such as Premier League, Champions League, PGA Championships and Nascar - taking advantage of Viasat's enormous catalogue of sports rights. We also provides live coverage during popular sports events and provides a platform for viewers to interact with each other in many forms through our social-media initiatives.

- What we want you to do here
You'll work closely to the product owner and project managers from the Viasport team and will develop Viasatsport.se, TV3Sport.dk, Viasport.no and ViasatHockey.fi. As a developer you will primarily be involved with building the Viasat Sport sites with the goal to make Viasat Sport a superior sports provider. You will be designing the software, implementing the code and unit tests, as well as launching the changes. You will also be involved in planning and testing the product together with the rest of the team. Altogether this entails assuming a leading role in the development and taking responsibility for the user experience and its constant improvement. Since we're about to change plattform this year we want you to be a part of the new structure and layout and bring your own ideas and your own experience to the team.

- At least four years experience of web development.
- Solid experience of HTML5 and CSS3.
- Solid experience of object oriented JavaScript and basic Node.js skills.
- Experience of working with REST API's.
- Huge plus if you have experience from relational databases, SEO or mobile optimization.
- Want to work in an agile environment using i.e. Scrum.

Since you're going to work closely with the content, it's a huge plus if you have been working with video and streaming before. To manage all content we work a lot with CDN's and caches which we hope you might be interested in. Internally we use Jira, Confluence and Stash with Git to support our needs.
