We are currently looking for an experienced system and safety architect to work with the electric vehicles of the future and advanced powertrain system solutions, where functional safety is a fundamental part of the design. At NE Powertrain Control Systems we develop powertrain controls, with a strong customer focus, working methods close to the actual vehicle and a strong team spirit.

In the embedded software systems of the future, functional safety concepts will be a fundamental part of the basic technical solution, and will therefore need to be developed closely with the basic system architecture. The close link between the concepts that emerge requires new approaches to work and new solutions, and offers new and interesting engineering challenges.

The Battery Management System Software group is responsible for the management of battery and associated charging and cooling control, including software architecture and safety concepts.

Your tasks

In the role of System and Safety Architect, you will work in a team of experienced developers with responsibility for dealing with architectural issues in terms of both system architecture and functional safety.

You will have a far-reaching responsibility for developing the concept of functional safety, and in some projects you will assume the role of Functional Safety Manager. You will also be on independently developing our overall system architecture, and analysing, defining and implementing technical solutions and concepts.

Your profile

We look for you who want to work with sustainable transportation, and has experience as architect and an interest in safety!

You probably have an MSc in Engineering or equivalent knowledge from work experience within software development of real-time systems. You have very good knowledge of the development of real-time systems and experience of coding. Good knowledge of C, Matlab Simulink and Python, XML or equivalent is a merit.

You will need knowledge of and experience from functional safety work, e.g. working methods such as HARA and FMEA. Knowledge of the ISO 26262 standard would also be an advantage.

You have well-developed analytical and strategic thinking skills, and can analyse the organisation’s overall strategic needs and on that basis implement the necessary changes. You have well-established expertise within the requested areas, and want to continuously develop both your expertise and working methods. You express yourself accurately, clearly and concisely in writing and in speech, and have the ability to communicate your analysis in an engaging way.
You have developed strong administrative skills as your work is in order, clear and systematic.

You have a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing in English. Swedish skills are meriting.
