Technical Writer/Editor (Stockholm)

Role Overview

Itiviti is now looking for a Technical Writer/Editor to join our Documentation team and Stockholm office. You will be working in a global writing team with colleagues on several different continents and with a mix of projects, maintenance, and operations.

Your main responsibility will be to work with and gather information from our engineers in order to deliver quality product documentation to our clients around the world.

Responsibilities

Planning, writing, reviewing, and maintaining product documentation aimed at software administrators, users, and developers.
Improving older existing documentation.
Performing document process and quality assurance work to continuously improve the team’s standards.
Administrative tasks such as publishing, project tracking, fix broken links, and update outdated information such as release numbers.
CSS and XML work to enhance our online documentation.
Creating and maintaining short videos complementing the written documentation.
Being the localgo-to person for questions related to writing, editing, and managing the product documentation.

Our main tools are:
Atlassian Confluence for authoring.
Atlassian JIRA for tracking development.
Google Apps suite for collaboration.

Your Profile

Several years of previous experience working as a Technical Writer.
Excellent skills in English.
Ability to work independently and to research, grasp, summarize, and conceptualize information.
Good at forming relationships.Eager to speak to Subject Matter Experts to acquire the necessary information.
Ability to understand complex information and concepts and to describe them correctly and plainly.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong sense of ownership and responsibility, dedicated to your work.
Eager to improve the documentation and how it is produced and delivered.
Independent, open-minded, and a team player with a strong 'can do' attitude.

Desired competence:

Financial technology background, knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
A relevant university degree, for example, English, Technical Writing, IT, or Finance.
Desire and competence to work with documentation aimed at developers, from getting started guides to Java and C++ API reference documentation.
Skills in CSS, XML, Python.
Experiencein visual communication, graphic design, video production.
