Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Our group consists of 12 dedicated systems engineers working to improve Scania's steering systems. Steering for us is to control the direction of the vehicle by turning the wheels and the steering wheel but could also be achieved using the brakes on individual wheels. To us the term steering system means electronic steering systems. both the electronic steering actuators i.e. electrically controlled steering gears and tag axle steering systems but also back-up systems and driver support functions such as Lane Keep Assist. We are now looking for an additional systems engineer to our group.

Your work tasks

You will be develop and be responsible for one or several steering systems or steering functions. We develop our functions and systems together with suppliers where it is key to set the correct requirement and assure that these are fulfilled, but we also have internally development where we use C-coding and Matlab/Simulink. You will work together with other colleagues in the group and also cross functional within Scania and Traton.

Your profile

You are positive to taking on new assignments and feel challenged to do resolve technical problems whenever they arise. You enjoy a work environment with a high degree of freedom and you take responsibility. You are a team player who enjoy group work and like to share your findings to colleagues. You value characteristics such as enthusiasm, curiosity and are a fast learner.

You have a master degree in electronics, machine technology or an equivalent/neighbouring area. Knowlegde in control theory, algorithm development, programming in C and Matlab/Simulink is highly appreciated. You can communicate well in English but also some knowledge of Swedish is preferred. German knowledge is a benefit due to our cooperation with suppliers and within Traton.
