We believe that privacy is fundamental to a well-functioning society where norms, ethics, and laws can safely be discussed and challenged. That same society cannot flourish and develop - nor can it exist - without privacy. This is why we provide a VPN service: because privacy is paramount, and apparently not only to us. The Mullvad VPN (https://mullvad.net/en/) community is growing, and so are we. This is the reason that we, together with Oddwork, are on the hunt for a Linux-experienced Technical Support. Perhaps you like penguins and moles in the same way as you live and breathe for the sake of making Internet censorship and mass surveillance ineffective? Good, because that is the same reason we get up in the morning.
About the position as Technical Support
As the next player of our support team, you will guide and help our users with any questions. Welcome to a team that lives for user security. A team and company that never ever saves any user logs. So, we don´t know (and we have no ambition of knowing) who’s using our VPN, but it is sometimes revealed that they live in countries with a lot of Internet censorship. That is why we always want to improve and develop our services further and, in order to fully understand what they go through, you will, together with our developers, set up a test environment and find out if you stumble upon the same problems they do.
With facts and your pedagogical tongue, you will guide and help with support mails every day. A good day of service. Serving privacy.
We are looking for you...
who are driven by the cause and have a huge passion for transparency. You know that trust is a fragile thing: difficult to build, easy to lose. And now you want to blaze the trail with us and develop the most secure VPN service (it´s not a statement, it’s an ambition).
If that is so, and if you are a problem-solving ninja with a profoundly curious mind for systems with a heavy focus on security and privacy - then you´re already a Mullvad, ready to come home.

- You are experienced in Linux, Windows and macOS environments
- English and Swedish
- Error occurs everywhere - and that’s where your experience from different computers, routers (and their components/settings) and firewalls is valuable in this job
- With a genuine interest in IT and technical solutions, you now want to develop as a person
