Our team develops and maintains the base software and common functions, which are used in a majority of Volvo CE products such as for example Wheel loaders, Haulers, Excavators and Pavers.ROLE DESCRIPTIONWe are currently looking for an senior embedded software engineer that in the future may take a role as an system/software architect. You will be part of the team that are responsible for the design and development of software platforms for machine control system and HMI platforms. The job requires deep understanding of embedded software development processes, item life cycles and tools. You will participate in defining and designing our platforms, including setting requirements and supporting in the allocation of software functionality.WHO ARE YOU?You are a senior engineer, maybe even a PhD, with deep knowledge in embedded software development processes, item life cycle management and tools. You might have a background in embedded C / C++ programming and Python. You have RTOS experience and have knowledge in both Windows and Linux-based operating systems.You are used to working in a high pace environment, leading teams and taking decisions in architecture and system requirement related questions. You are also passionate about teaching others, sharing you knowledge, and providing guidance to your colleagues. You are familiar with and positive towards agile ways of working in general and Scrum in particular.You definitely have a techie mindset and maybe experience from the automotive industry or similar.You are an open and creative person with a can-do attitude.
