WHAT WILL YOU DO?
We are looking for a software integrator to strengthen our Long Term Support (LTS) firmware strategy, which gives Axis a unique position against its competition by providing ‘peace of mind’ to our largest customers.

As an integrator, you will be part of a small unit responsible for:

Monitoring development activities in the company and identifying items of value to the several LTS code branches
Integrating code in the LTS branches and secure their quality
Building and deploying the updates to our customers.
Monitoring the feedback and planning the next release.
Participating in the development of our release tool chain.
This role will require close cooperation with the Quality Assurance department as well as most of the development teams involve in firmware development.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an engineer with a strong interest in CI/CD practices. We are preferably looking for engineers with a few (1-2 years) of experience but are not limited to it.

You have knowledge in:

Git/Gerrit
Python and/or bash scripting
Linux environment (Debian/Ubuntu/Redhat)
It´s a plus if you also have knowledge in Linux OpenEmbedded / Yocto and Jenkins. We see that you have experience from CI/CD practices, Configuration Management, Build Process Automation and are familiar with DevOps.

You have good communication skills in both Swedish and English

The Software Services team

The Software Services team is responsible for providing software engineering services to the market. We work mainly close to the sales and support organisations world-wide and help them in their day to day struggles. Services that we offer today range from software troubleshooting (Technical Support) to customized development (Professional Services).

We also provide and maintain Long Term Support Firmware releases (LTS) for most of Axis’ products.

Our team works essentially with embedded firmware but is gradually exploring new technologies (Cloud, Client development).

LTS is a critical part of our Firmware Lifecycle strategy, providing the Enterprise customers with firmware that is of the highest possible quality (Stability, security and compatibility) over a longer period of time (minimum of 5 years). This is a market differentiator for Axis.

This position will allow us to support an increasing number of LTS releases (approx. 1 LTS/year covering around 100 products each) without impacting the quality or speed in our release increments.
