At our sister company Shopit we are committed to developing the best online consumer search engine for online shopping in Europe. The goal is to make all products, brands and retailers searchable in one awesome shopping search engine. To achieve this we are using the latest technologies within data mining, big data, data analysing, parallel processing, search engine logic and social shopping functionality together with modern web design and user experience for both web and mobile devices.
We are now looking for a combined PHP-developer and server administrator to strengthen our team!
About 75 % of the time you will be working in our web development team to develop exciting new web based applications. The job requires experience in PHP, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript, and to be familiar to object oriented programming.
About 25 % of the time you will be managing our company group's about 50 Linux servers, running services like load balanced web server solutions, web hotel servers, dedicated customer web servers, mySQL database servers, file backup servers and a distributed parallel processing server farm. For this you need to have good experience of architecture, installation and administration of business Linux servers. Server reliability and security is very important for us so you should value this.
You will be working full-time together with our dedicated team in our modern office in the centre of Växjö.

Shopit Online Europe AB is a sister company to SiteDirect Professional Web Solutions AB. We are all in all about 35 people working in the company group in Växjö, and we also have a branch office in Kiev, Ukraine.
