Backend Engineer

My name is Joakim and I'm the Engineering Manager for Team Klirr, the development team responsible for Ad insertion and Payment, two of Blocket’s most crucial functions. What will you be working on and with who?

Team Klirr owns two of the most fundamental functions at Blocket: the Ad insertion flow and the Payment flow. We develop high-performance transaction-intensive fault-tolerant solutions that is online 24/7. The team is cross-functional and consists of frontend and backend developers, QA, UX, PO and an Engineering Manager.

We strive to continuously improve, both our product, our team and they way we work, as well as ourselves, both as colleagues and individuals. We test, learn and improve in short cycles, focusing on creating customer value and giving a top-class experience. We work agile in two-week sprints and do PI plannings together with all other teams in six-week cycles.

During the autumn we will, among other things, be working with moving the whole Blocket platform from today's on-premis­es hosting into Amazon AWS and go all in on cloud hosting. If you have experience from working with AWS, that is a plus, but either way, we think that you are as excited about this as we are!
