We are responsible for creating customer solutions on our own Android tablet called Co-Pilot, and developing apps that will help the drivers of our machines be more efficient and environmental friendly. We also design the solutions of the future including teleoperated and autonomous machines.This is a unique opportunity to join a fantastic team with a startup mentality working with truly disruptive technology while at the same time being a part of the world-renowned Volvo Group.ROLE DESCRIPTIONWe are currently looking to expand our group of app developers and we are eager to get to know an enthusiastic and devoted software engineer. You will work with our in-house developed android apps which range from operator coach support, multimedia apps and connectivity services.The role also includes participating in continuous improvement of our ways of working and you will be encouraged to dream big, dare to fail, innovate and always invest time in personal development.In our department we have an agile setup and we really support each other, so getting into our work is easy. You will join a Scrum team and collaborate with other teams on a daily basis, making sure to deliver a great product.WHO ARE YOU?You are either a junior or a senior software engineer, with theoretical and practical experience of Android app development. You know Java and maybe even Python and Kotlin, which would complement the team. Having experience in Android DevOps tools such as Jira, Git, and Jenkins is very meriting as is knowledge in continuous integration, unit testing etc. You are also familiar with and positive towards agile ways of working in general and Scrum in particular.You might also have competence in construction machine technology, or a high interest in working with our yellow machines, however neither is required and just considered meriting. You definitely have a techie mindset!You are an open and creative person with a can-do attitude. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and you either speak Swedish or are eager to learn a new language.
