We hope that it’s you.Your daily work will involve:Fishbrain is a fast-growing company, both company and product wise. We need software that runs smooth today and that is ready to handle tomorrow’s load. Figuring out a solid backend architecture, minimizing friction between services, and monitoring our product’s health is what we’re doing on a daily basis. On a daily basis, you will work in Ruby and Go and belong to one of our cross-functional teams. Experimenting and learning new technologies is important to us, which is why we’re curious of what you might bring to us. With the entire backend team you will build software and services that enable other developers to focus on the product, and you ensure that Fishbrain has the capacity for future growth.We tend to value technologies that allow us to be fast-moving when needed while at the same time balancing stability. We’re relying heavily on automated tests and iterating on solutions.What we are fishing for: We’re looking for an experienced developer with problem solving mindset and someone who seeing things through. You have previously built, deployed and monitored software in a cloud environment. You like finding efficient solutions that gets the job done.You have an in-depth expertise in taking a holistic approach.You enjoy supporting and building interesting software that stays online, is flexible and remains secure.Experience from working with modern cloud services like Amazon, Azure or Google Cloud.Experience from monitoring large distributed systems.You are familiar with agile development methods, Web based services and APIsOur realityBeing a backend engineer at Fishbrain, you’ll be expected to work in a range of different projects. We’re running the largest portion of our service on AWS, mostly using Docker to run apps using AWS Fargate. This gives us a flexible and solid infrastructure that adapts to the load.
