The organization…
Network Strategy and Core Design is responsible for design of Mobile core solutions and systems for all of Tele2´s operations. We are also responsible for the Network and Mobile Core Strategy process.

We shall make sure that we have a Network strategy that follows the business strategy and supports the Tele2 core values.

This is the job....
Together with our highly skilled and enthusiastic team you will set the future of the Tele2 group strategy in the areas of Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and its surrounding systems. As we operate in a fast-moving industry, you need to follow the technical innovation closely in the mobile industry, assuring that we always are one step ahead. You will be part of setting the scope and solution design for projects if the project is of “innovative” character.

This is an opportunity to work with the latest and greatest of mobile core technologies. We are working to redesign our core using NFV. NFV is the future of the mobile network. You will be helping to create this new network.

Furthermore, you will be involved in supplier relations and procurement processes within the area, with the main responsibility for setting the requirements and evaluate the answers. But also proactively work with the suppliers to get knowledge and share your ideas with them.

The position is within our central function, with all our Tele2 countries as customers/partners, meaning frequent communication with all our 9 countries, including travelling.

You will (among other things)…

• Participate in defining system and solution architecture for the Tele2 private Cloud.
• Participate in developing the Tele2 Cloud strategy and also contribute to make it happen
• Drive detailed definition of feature requirements through discussions with stakeholders.
• Follow Open Source community trends and initiatives
• Communicate highly technical matters to both the engineering and management levels
• Get involved at a hands-on level designing and writing code. DevOps experience beneficial.

This is what you have...

• Self-motivation and drive
• Excellent presentation and communications skills
• Prior cloud experience
• Expert level knowledge in Linux
• Knowledge of Open Source initiatives and projects including OpenStack and CEPH
• Experience in RabbitMQ, YANG, Puppet, TOSCA rpc, PostgreSQL, Galera, MongoDB is highly desirable.
• Experience in Python programming using RESTful APIs, MySQL and XML for enterprise/Cloud infrastructure management
• Solid experience of deploying applications in Virtualized environments
• A Strong engineering and design background
• A Bachelors or Masters in computer science OR related field of study

Fluency in English, written and verbal, is mandatory.
