Software Architect with Cloud skills

IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

Background

At Scania Product Development IT, we are responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of IT solutions for R&D.

With new projects in the pipeline, we are currently looking for new team member to create long-term solutions from the scratch! If you are a Senior Full-Stack Developer/Architect with a background in .NET development and Cloud technologies, then maybe this could be the right challenge for you.

Your responsibilities

You will be part of a development team where you will take a holistic approach on the software development cycle with focus on delivering value to the business needs.

As a Software Architect with experience in Cloud technologies, you will be responsible for designing & building our new applications as serverless in Amazon Web Services & the lift-and-shift of our existing applications to AWS. You will ensure that our solutions are built with good software architecture in compliance to our Scania Cloud security policies. You will play a key role in creating and implementing the technical vision within the team.

Your profile

You have many years of experience in .NET development and have been responsible for the security and software architecture for applications.

You are a full stack developer with significant experience in Cloud and DevOps. You advocate an agile approach to software development.

You should have a degree in IT, complemented with about 8-10 years of software development experience in which at least 2 years’ of hands-on experience is on a Cloud platform.

Most importantly, we believe you are a passionate Software Developer who loves to explore new technologies and the potential for automation!

Meritorious: AWS/Cloud Architect or AWS/Cloud Developer certification and experience in Test Automation

Our technology stack/tools includes .Net Standard 4.6, C#, MVC, Entity Framework, WebAPI, WCF, IBM MQ, MySQL, jQuery, Amazon Web Services, Angular 2 & 7, Python, .Net Core, GitLab and TFS among others. We believe you have experience in at least some of these tools, if not all of them.

We run code reviews & tests and are currently working on achieving a continuous integration and continuous deployment infrastructure on Amazon Cloud. We put a lot of emphasis on code style, cleanliness and robustness. You will work with excellent engineers and have the opportunity to make a real impact on our way of working, vision and IT targets.

In this role you’ll have the freedom to design the architecture for new solutions in upcoming projects & influence the technical design of our existing applications.

You will get to work with the latest technologies out there and continuously improve our processes and deliverables. We will never limit your creativity, never shut down ideas before testing them and we will never be boring!
