The Studi e-learning platform is used by more than 200 000 students in Sweden. Our impact on success for students receives glowing feedback. We are a stable business, and now have ambitious plans for the international market. We are a creative company of script writers, animators, voice artists, and developers. Your work will be at the core of this, scaling the platform to accommodate millions of users.
We’re now looking for a backend developer with a thing for operations and CI. As a developer at Studi you will join a tight-knit team of six and participate all the way from inception and development to release and follow up. Feedback is close at hand, and fast.
Technologies
LAMP stack - PHP 7, Laravel, MySQL, AWS (EC2, CloudWatch), Ansible, Jenkins, Docker.
About you
You will move fluidly between architecture, API and feature development, production and development infrastructure as well as code reviews and high-level discussions with the team.
You will develop in the classic LAMP stack with the tools and environment of your choice, make those tests turn green, and deploy to AWS several times a week. You’ll also work with our technical operations, making the Linux servers collaborate and participate in our on-call rotation (for a generous bonus of course).
We work in an agile environment with retrospectives, prioritization, and dailies. We strive to automate away all the boring stuff, help each other, and always get better. We like clean code, a pragmatic approach, and quick decisions.
- You have a couple of years of experience working in PHP and are confident in writing robust code.
- You are familiar with object-oriented programming, key design principles, and patterns like MVC.
- You have experience with DevOps and are confident handling Linux servers, Bash scripting, Apache configuration, DNS and CDNs
- You think it’s important to run a tight ship with proper monitoring, logging and alarms
- You have a good understanding of what makes a good CI pipeline
- You are fluent in English.
