The team
In the Thermal camera R&D team we are 15 skilled colleagues that together are responsible for developing Axis thermal cameras and related knowledge in this domain. Axis thermal cameras are based uncooled technology and designed for non-military use. The thermal cameras outperform a visual camera in dark scenes and are a great tool for detecting people and objects in 24/7 surveillance, from pitch dark black areas to a sunlit parking lot.

What will you work with?
You will part of our engineering team and our thermal camera development projects. Your focus will be to develop embedded software for our thermal cameras. This for example includes:
Translate requirements into useful features
Perform problem analysis, design and implement solutions
Integrate software to our platform
Perform advanced debugging of embedded systems
Innovate and implement new camera features
Test and prototype new ideas
Who are we looking for?
We believe you have a curious mind, love problems and used to solve these problems in a Linux environment using primarily Python and C. You have a degree that gives you a good foundation in mathematics and physics and are fluent in English and at least in speaking Swedish.
As a person, you are communicative, have a humorous mind and you can inspire your colleagues. You do not mind taking the role as an educator of customers and colleagues, you are persistent team player and likes to finish what has been started. To be competitive we need to be innovative - the team generates a number of patent applications every year and we want you to be an inspiring party in this.
