There are many opportunities for new business and solutions in the transforming transport industry. Scania is now looking for a Technical Architect with a genuine interest in understanding the customer’s business and the new set of problems they are facing.

Job description
Our team is responsible for developing solutions for equipment uptime follow-up and production flow monitoring. We are today four Software Developers and one Product Owner in the team. We work in close collaboration with business development and the end users. The team decides how to work and which technologies that best support us in building the software. For the current projects, we have one solution in the Microsoft Azure Cloud using .NET, MS SQL Server, and Angular. Moreover, we got a backend service in AWS built with Python, Lambda, and AWS IOT.

As a Technical Architect, you will have a vital role in designing and implementing our solutions. You will together with the team ensure that our solutions are built with good software architecture in compliance to our Scania Cloud security policies and with considerations for other services in our IT environment. You will play a key role in creating and implementing the technical vision within the team. Also, you will mentor and coach junior team members.

About You
We believe that you have a holistic view on the development cycle and therefore do not want to focus solely on a specific part of the problem. You appreciate the value of good cooperation and you are comfortable with the agile culture and ways of working. We also believe that you are a problem solver driven by customer needs rather than a specific technical stack. Moreover, you feel comfortable delivering in short iteration cycles.

Your Profile
We want you to have good understanding of programming principles and appreciation of the purpose and the practices of Agile. You work in the complete stack, from backend to frontend. We also want you to be curious and to have the ability to learn new technology domains. You are fluent in English at professional business level.

We believe you have more than 10 years of professional work experience within software development and several years of experience as a Technical Architect.

We believe that in addition to hiring the best talent, a diversity of perspectives, ideas and cultures leads to the creation of a better work environment and services.
