QA Specialist

THE POSITION

As a QA Specialist in the Viafree Mobile Team you will join our small but experienced team and continue to shape and develop the Viafree streaming service. You will work with other highly motivated and fun developers to build robust and well-structured services for the Viafree Mobile platform (both iOS and Android). As product requirements are defined closely with the team Product owner, the team Designer, and stakeholders across the organization, you will be the one closing the loop by defining scenarios for testability prior to development and ensuring that quality is maintained as new features are developed and released. You will be in the center of the agile process with a holistic view, taking a grip of the development process from a QA perspective.

THE CHALLENGE AHEAD

In this role you will be responsible for the quality of the team’s deliveries. You will be responsible for the functional testing of new features, regression testing of releases and continuously work on enhancing our QA process. We see you guiding your teammates in testing efforts and development of testing suites that you will design and have ownership of. You will also be able to work on writing automated tests for our mobile applications. However, prior experience of writing automated tests is not a requirement for this position as our development team currently owns the process of writing automated tests. Your daily challenges will include:

• Leading your team in the implementation of new processes, testing strategies and test plans
• Manual testing of our mobile apps
• Writing test cases

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES ALSO MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree from higher vocational university as a Test Specialist or a degree in computer science, computer engineering or an equivalent level of work experience
• Dedication to unit testing, UI-testing and other quality-oriented practices.
• Enthusiasm for Agile software development.
• Big interest in learning more in test automation
