Capacity Manager

Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) is responsible for all IT infrastructure within Volvo Car Group globally and a key component of Service Delivery & Operations within Group IT. Our mission is to develop and deliver business valued IT infrastructure services to drive globalisation, growth and change, with continued cost efficiency. The Infra Delivery Services team within the Infrastructure Management department is a group of broad planning and ordering capabilities through its Infra Delivery Managers, and Infrastructure Coordinators. We are a global team, and support all Volvo Car Group Sites with deliverables of IT Infrastructure services or components.

As a Capacity Manager you make sure that the right amount of IT resources exists to support the business. It's the Capacity Managers job to determine if the current IT infrastructure is being utilised optimally and, if not, what changes should be made. This planning must occur in dialogue with stakeholders within Group IT and its suppliers. The Capacity Manager is also responsible for monitoring, analysing and projecting whether the organisation has sufficient capacity. You will also be responsible to translate business needs and plans into capacity and performance requirements for services and IT infrastructure, and to ensure that future capacity and performance needs can be fulfilled

Main responsibilities

* Responsible for ensuring that services and infrastructure are able to deliver the agreed capacity and performance targets in a cost effective and timely manner
* Responsible to consider all resources required to deliver the service
* Responsible to manage, control and predict the performance and capacity of operational services

Required qualifications

* Deep knowledge of IT Service Management as well as proven experience from on?boarding services in an IT environment
* At least 5 years experience of IT Infrastructure technologies and experience from leading platforms or product
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Good understanding of ITIL is meritorious
* An asset would be documented leadership and/or project management experience
