You will work together with play designers, artists and developers in producing new digital toys. At Toca Boca our Art Directors have great freedom and responsibility over the final product. You’ll be the one leading, creating and producing the art in collaboration with other team members. Your influence on the next Toca Boca experience will be immense.We’re looking for an Art Director who:Loves toys and gamesHas lead and art directed teams to build unique experiencesHas a unique personal style aligned with the Toca Boca visual languageHas created appealing characters and captivating environmentsIs a stellar illustrator with a great imaginationIs comfortable moving between 2D and 3DHas created great interactive experiencesPays attention to detail, is curious and takes pride in workEnjoys working together with developers to find technical solutions to graphical problemsHas experience in asset production for gamesHas experience with Unity, Maya, Illustrator and Photoshop or similar softwareIs a motivated team playerIs fluent in written and spoken EnglishWhat you will be doing:Providing art direction to teams to align behind a clear visionProduce concepts and provide art direction for our appsSet Visual style and quality of the graphical assetsHands on work producing graphics to the appExpress and communicate your ideas and visionsEnsure together with the project team members that the art direction fits with the overall project goalsLead/Support artists in setting daily tasks, milestones, syncs, feedback, directionWhat to expect:Toca Boca expects you to be self-motivated and to continuously want to improve both process and qualityYou’ll be working with a team of artists and developers that come to the office excited to learn new things everydayWe work in small teams of 4-8 people, which means everyone is an important contributor in the project and has a shared responsibility for what the toy becomes. This position is full time and based in our Stockholm office. We apply 6 months probationary employment.
