Overview
The CAD specialist is responsible for administering the CAD software applications for a category/multiple categories and coordinate with the sourcing and logistics functions all contacts with suppliers and IDCs both for continuous improvement and quality issues. The position is located in Gothenburg.

Main Tasks
Administration of product design software (Solidworks) to drive best practices and standardise among internal users as well as external design resources.
Manage all Solidworks licenses and maintenance contracts globally.                                              
Champion and develop the integration of product design software applications with the SAP PLM tools(or similar tools) to internalise storage and lifecycle management of all CAD intellectual property and BOMs for the business .
Develop and support PLM standard formats and system parameters.
Provide quality and technical/engineering support for product development and to secure our customers’ expectations and requirements.
Together with Innovation Team members, plan for documentation procedure and coach on how to ensure projects generate the appropriate documentation for quality assurance, product management & for manufacturers & tool makers to design to our needs with quality and speed.
Gatekeeper for data between the system and external resources.

Key Competencies
 

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience will be considered in place of a Bachelor’s degree
Multiple years working with PLM systems and documentation with quality focus to steer manufacturing
Direct or indirect experience from product development
International exporsure is a merit
Fluent in English, both verbally and written
Ability to travel
Technical /Specialized knowledge

Functional Knowledge:

Good understanding of manufacturing and / or product design for plastic injection molded parts.
Proven competence in PLM systems and documentation with quality focus to steer manufacturing.
Experience with “Solidworks Enterprise PDM” is an advantage. Solidworks certification is a plus
Good knowledge of creating 2D and 3D documentation.
Working knowledge in the artwork creation process, where expereinece with Adobe Illustrator is an advantage.
Working knowledge of basic electronics in the areas of printed circuit boards, wiring and schematics is a plus.
Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus.
