IT at Scania is undergoing an exciting transformation towards a more flow-oriented approach to work, in which agile methods and high-performance self-organized development teams are key components. You could then be a part of a team that is linked to Scania’s global digitalisation strategy and will develop and safeguard of one of Scania’s most important services, Scania Maintenance with Flexible Plans. We develop and maintain a tailor-made flexible maintenance service that aids in optimizing our customers’ vehicles visits to our repair shops based on real time usage and performance information. The purpose is to keep the vehicles in mint condition and achieving maximal operational security and availability. The Flexible Plans are currently in use in Europe and roll-out continues globally.

There are around 45 people working on the system solution, which consists of developers, testers, architects, support and implementation team. We work in an agile way, with several self-organized scrum teams that releases on weekly basis. We are currently looking for an experienced .NET Developer with an interest in DevOps, cloud-native software development and agile methods.

Your role

Your main task as a Senior Full-Stack Developer is to code in .NET and .NET Core, but also to some extent work with solution architecture, testing and analysis. In this role you’ll also be working with our continuous integration pipelines and ensure our environments reliability, as well as modernizing our current applications written in .NET. You will also work with modern tools for continuous integration including version control, automated testing, and deployments.

You will be part of an agile and self-organized team of developers, architects and testers that is responsible for all elements of application and service development. You will be involved in requirements work, architecture, development, testing, release management and operation.

You will value high-quality code produced both independently and in collaboration with your team. You’ll also have a high level of interaction with the operation and close cooperation with the product owners, Java teams, as well as markets around the world to ensure rapid feedback during development and the analysis process.

Your profile

We believe that you are a Senior Full-Stack .NET Developer. A university degree in the IT-field is meritorious. You value working in a self-organized team that applies the agile approach to development work and desire to deliver high-quality code. You will also have a strong interest in learning more about Scania and will enjoy and be curious about working close to Scania’s business areas.

In order to succeed we think that you:

• Know how to efficiently work independently and also know when to work in close collaboration with your team.
• You truly understand the Agile Manifesto
• You have self-motivation and are able to lead others when necessary
• You have the commitment and motivation to work with others to develop, deliver, simplify and improve.
• Experience of developing cloud-native solutions would also be an advantage.
• Value the opportunity to share and learn new things highly, and open to pair programming or mob programming.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
