What we do at Detectify
Detectify was born from the simple idea that the internet is broken. Our founders are among the best ethical hackers in the world. They have found critical vulnerabilities at tech giants like Google, Facebook, and Dropbox and used their hacker knowledge to build an advanced domain and web application security scanner that is used by companies such as Spotify, Trello, and KING.

We also collaborate with a global network of handpicked white-hat hackers who continuously provide us with valuable security research. Our crowd-based security network allows us to bring in the best independent security researchers in the world and automate their findings into our tool.

What our web team does
Today our web team consists of four people, two PHP developers and two React developers. Working closely with our product design team, they are responsible for building and improving Detectify’s platforms. The goal for both these teams is to create the best possible customer journey for our end users.

Role and responsibilities

As a React developer in our web team, you will be responsible for building a well-functioning architecture that will perform well as we scale Detectify, provide services to more customers, and grow our internal development team.

Together with the team, you will also be responsible for making decisions regarding new technologies being used. You care about design patterns, clean code and anything that makes the code more effective.

Since the web team is still growing, you will be involved in parts of the recruitment processes to build the team for the future.

Who you are

You are a person with a “move fast and break things” attitude and think it’s important to continue evolving together with your solutions. You are constantly focusing on making improvements and new features available to the end user and at the same time reflecting over your own solutions and how they could be improved.

You like to solve complex tasks together with your colleagues, because the more you know the faster you can move.

This means that we expect you to have:

- 6+ years experience as a javascript developer, with previous experience with React (or similar framework could also work but we are developing our platforms with React)
- Heard about and potentially worked with Redux as well as Redux Saga
- Experience of general agile frameworks
- Knowledge of git best practices such as gitflow
