We are looking for an experienced Testlead, to lead a smart phone project at one of our clients in Lund. This is a consultant assignment for 6 months, but there is the possibility that it might lead to an employment with our client after the project is finished. Our client is looking for a Testlead but you also need to have relevant experience to act as Project lead when he/she is away. You need to be able to start in June and work throughout the summer with possible exceptions for short holidays.

Your previous experience

Background in the Telecom business

Knowledge in LTE and experience from the US Market

Experience in Android/Google

Focus on S/W experience but also some H/W experience

Experience in working with various mobile operators and Asian suppliers

ISTQB certification

The role

• Collaborate with project management to manage the tests within the approved test budget and scope.
• Collaborate with the Test team lead for the resource planning and other test tasks executions.
• Test leads coordinate both hard- and software tests and delegates test assignments to the testers

External relations

Request and coordinate tests and tests results with third party test companies

Request and coordinate tests and test results with suppliers

Request and coordinate test and test results with customers when needed

People management

Communicate feedback and motivate the testers.

Identify and request resources needed from test team lead.

Cooperate and discuss prioritizations with relevant test leads

Test management

Prepare test activities and secure that all relevant test documentation and test material is available

Write a test plan according to the template

Plan and monitor the product test progress

Plan what tests need to be executed on each release

Create and design test cases based on product specifications

Review requirements

Manage ongoing test tasks and execute tests when needed

The status of testing is continuously reported to the project manager who will use the information for planning and reporting.

Follow-up on project progress

Follow-up on all aspects of the test plan

Report project test status to project lead and other stakeholders on agreed basis

Report issues found and follow-up with developers

Support project lead with documentation when needed

If needed, communicate with customers test lead to support on agreed testing

Risk and issue management

Manage risks related to testing and perform contingency planning.

Manage escalation of non-compliant deliverables.

Communicate suspected risks and issues, common between projects, with other test leads.

Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.

Communicate with the testers to get their risk assessments for the product
