Sandvik IT Services is the Sandvik Group's internal company with responsibility for infrastructure, application development and system management in the IT area. Sandvik IT Services is expanding and we are now looking for a Solution Architect who will be an important part of Sandvik IT Services' Application Delivery. You will be a part of a team of 26 highly professional individuals with various skillsets, gender and age. The position is based in Sandviken.

Key performance areas
As Solution Architect your main areas of responsibility are design and implementation of IT solutions, but you will also be responsible for continuous development of IT solutions. Your main responsibilities include to:
- Have an excellent overview of the solution
- Contribute towards ongoing major development initiatives
- Conduct investigations and develop proposed solutions through participation in projects and ongoing management and by independent studies in architecture
- Ensure that existing and new solutions and technologies are used in an optimal and value-creating manner, in order to support the business? need for new functionality, performance, reliability and cost efficiency
- Use your knowledge and experience to support our developers, technicians and project managers
- Foster team spirit and commitment

This position includes some traveling.

Your profile
We are looking for someone who holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or the equivalent. You have several years of experience with software architecture; previous experience from working with integration of different services and platforms is a requirement. Extensive knowledge of different IT solutions' capabilities and benefits is essential, in order to be successful in this position. You have experience in analyzing business needs and translating these into solution proposals, as well as experience leading and collaborating with others affected by the work. Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, SAP, BI and Enterprise Search is advantageous, while good skills in SharePoint, .Net, English (both in writing and speaking) are prerequisite.
