Job Description

The Client Application team develops video player plugins that help our clients display ads and track data to our ad server with a minimum of effort. We provide SDKs for easy integration in iOS and Android applications, as well as plugins for HTML5-, Flash- and Silverlight-based players. The plugins and SDKs allow our clients to display new innovative ad formats in their own video players without any custom development.

We are currently in the starting blocks of forming a new team specifically focused on our Mobile solutions and are looking for a Senior Engineer to join us. You will come with great technical knowledge, experience of developing mobile native apps and be interested in playing an integral part in setting up and forming this Mobile team. It’s very much a hands-on role where you will be involved in creating and delivering a unified and solid user experience on a multitude of different platforms and devices as well as building and leading your team. The team is cross functional and works on the latest video playback technology. You will be involved in building features from concept to implementation and deployment and you will need to use all your experience and expertise.

Key responsibilities:

• Architecting, testing and developing on the iOS / Android platform
• Assisting in development on other platforms when needed
• Be the technical component owner of the iOS / Android platform
• Staying informed and knowledgeable of relevant events in the technologies
• Provide guidance about technical options and limitations of product initiatives within the platform
• Team / Chapter leadership
• Coach and mentor other team members in iOS / Android development
• Inspire and motivate other team members

Most importantly you are an outstanding software developer for Android and/or iOS.  Although you are probably comfortable working in several languages, it’s important that you have excellent knowledge in Objective-C, Swift and/or Java and that you have experience of developing for multiple mobile devices. The person we are looking for, quickly and easily picks up new languages and frameworks and is happy switching between technologies and thrives in developing well tested, modular and maintainable code.
