About the job Swedbank has committed to a major transformation to becoming the leading digital retail bank in the markets it serves. It needs people that can leverage analytical expertise and business acumen to understand portfolio drivers, create a line of sight from operations and recommend changes to optimize outcomes.

The roles require talented analysts too:

Forecast portfolio outcomes and, together colleagues across Swedbank, create activity plans that provide management with a roadmap to illustrating how the Swedish business can meet their financial ambitions
Assist management with data driven insights to help them make intelligent business decisions and to deliver better products.
Monitor portfolio performance, perform 'deep dives' and communicate a story to management about adherence to expectations
Discover information hidden in vast amounts of data, interpret it and create statistical models to guide automated decision processes
Understand how operational processes / policies impact KPIs across a diverse range of disciplines - including, marketing, credit and pricing – and work with colleagues to show how changing the process can lead to better outcomes
Make recommendations to senior management and work with cross-functional teams to execute on the opportunities you have identified

What you need to succeed The roles require smart, creative people that love to solve challenging problems and an ambition to make a difference. They need excellent communication skill to influence senior stakeholders and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive an outcome.

The specific requirements of the roles include:

Intellectually curious and take pleasure in solving challenging problems;
University degree in a technical field such as statistics / mathematics, economics, computer science or engineering;
3+ years' experience working with analytics to drive business performance;
5+ years programming experience within an analytical framework (e.g. R / Python / SAS / SPSS);
Ability to communicate ideas and analyze results effectively verbally and in writing to a non-technical audience; and
Experience in cross-functional and / or functional team leadership

What you may have worked with previously You might work as an analyst focused on credit, pricing or campaign management. Banking experience is looked upon favorably but is not essential
