What you will be part of
Saab Traffic Management (TM) serves marine and air traffic customers around the globe with advanced solutions that enable the safe and efficient movement of people and goods.
In our Linköping office, TransponderTech Products, we are about 25 people with our own profit and loss responsibility. We are a small part of Saab working mainly in the global civil market and we are market leading in our product segment. The department consists of enthusiastic software engineers, electrical engineers, systems engineers, product managers, project managers and support engineers. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the design, development, and support of our products. The product portfolio consists of AIS/VDES radio transceivers for land, ships and aircrafts as well as advanced navigation and presentation systems. The site includes all functions, from marketing and sales, to product development, production and logistics. The relationship between own working efforts and company results is very clear and many of us have daily customer Contact.
TransponderTech is currently developing the next generation of market leading software defined radio products to meet the international demand of systems for enabling more environmentally efficient transports and increased safety at sea. The product complexity is high and the time to market is short which requires creative solutions and efficient ways of working. In the world of developing COTS products, reliability and maintainability as well as production cost is always in the developers mind. A corner stone of the success is that we since many years are working with agile development for software as well as and hardware.
We are currently looking to strengthen our team with a skilled embedded software engineer. As member of the team you will participate during all phases of the product development starting with the design until the finished product. Your primary tasks will be developing software and firmware for our COTS products which range from SDR-radio to navigation and display systems. The job is varied and may include contacts with suppliers as well as some travelling.
Your experience and skills
The following are examples of qualifications and skills that are applicable for the role. It is not a requirement that you possess all of the below, one or more may be sufficient.
* Embedded C++
* Embedded Linux
* VHDL
* Experience in radio and radar technology
What we expect you to be like
* You are a good team player but you are also be able to work independently.
* You are curious, engaged, takes own initiatives and has the ability to come with new ideas.
* You speak and read Swedish and English fluently
* We believe that you have a Master of Science degree or similar, and more than 3 years' experience within the area
