System Lead

As System Lead, you will take on key responsibilities in the design, implementation and sustainability of vital systems, tools and services. In close collaboration with colleagues, partners and customers you will be creating cutting edge solutions that meet tomorrows demands. This is a free and creative role with full responsibility over your area and together with the team your input will be valuable and crucial going forward. You will be joining in a very interesting phase, where their solution is being implemented to many customers and users, but where further and constant development and improvement to optimize end-user experience is needed and highly prioritized. What you will be doing ·       Have a decisive role in developing the next generation platform for modern and efficient learning.·       Take ownership and make key decisions about solutions and systems·       Break down feature requests into a backlog of work items, do time estimates with the team and prioritize into an agile workflow·       Design, develop and maintain infrastructure backend including REST APIs and integrations with academic and commercial partners·       Test and implement new technologies and solutions to ensure effectiveness and functionality.Your skills and background We are looking for a passionate and pragmatic developer who values function and iteration over form and completeness. This because you know the former leads to the next. You have a relevant education (or equivalent experience) with a solid knowledge in developing modern backend, preferably using Node.js. You are comfortable implementing transaction safe services with exposed REST APIs. You are no stranger to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure or to databases like SQL/NoSQL. You probably have a few years of working experience with backend as your main focus of interest. You quickly pick up on new technologies and have a quite good and broad architectural understanding how everything works together.
